BRICS – Partnering to build education for the future

Global postgraduate student mobility trends to 2024

India will have by far the most tertiary students in the world in 2024 – 48 million against 37 million in China – but China will still be the largest source of mobile postgraduate students, sending 338,000 abroad, according to a just-published study by the British Council. Australia’s universities face ‘inevitable decline’

L’insertion par l’activité économique en 2012 : Hausse du nombre de salariés en insertion, essentiellement portée par les ACI et les AI

« En 2012, près de 128 000 salariés en insertion ont travaillé dans une structure de l’insertion par l’activité économique (IAE), en moyenne chaque mois, soit une augmentation de 4,2 % par rapport à l’année précédente. La moitié d’entre eux étaient mis à disposition par une association intermédiaire (AI), un tiers travaillaient dans un atelier et chantier d’insertion (ACI), et les autres dans une entreprise d’insertion (EI, 11 %) ou pour une entreprise de travail temporaire d’insertion (ETTI, 9 %).

142 000 personnes ont été recrutées par une structure de l’IAE. Les nouvelles embauches augmentent de 3,5 % dans les ACI et de 4,6 % dans les AI, tandis qu’elles diminuent dans les EI et les ETTI. Dans les ACI, qui proposent des contrats aidés aux personnes les plus éloignées de l’emploi, le plus souvent allocataires du RSA, le nombre de salariés embauchés ou renouvelés a continué de progresser, quoique plus lentement que l’année précédente. Il décroît pour la deuxième année consécutive dans les EI. L’activité des ETTI ralentit en 2012, suivant la trajectoire de l’intérim au sens large…. »
