MTSU offers high schoolers tuition-free college classes

By Adam Tamburin. High school students across the state will be able to take college classes like macroeconomics and sociology this fall without paying tuition thanks to a new program rolling out at Middle Tennessee State University.
The university's Dual Enrollment Program will offer eligible students the chance to take the tuition-free courses online or on campus in Murfreesboro. More...

Keeping doors of higher education open

Bill would make all university board meetings public

By David Jesse. The bill, House Resolution O, would remove the word "formal" from a section in the constitution detailing which public university board meetings have to be open to the public. The bill would have to have a two-thirds vote approving it from both the state House and Senate, then head to the public for a vote. It is currently in committee, where a similar bill died last year. Using data to break down success misconceptions

By Kylie Lacey. A predictive analytics system is being used at Georgia State University to identify students who are at risk for dropping out. This robust system tracks every student on 700 triggers, and alerts administrators when a student is in need of one-on-one intervention.

A robust library of course recordings transforms learning at Fox School of Business
