Launch of a Memorandum of Understanding between the HEA and QQI
The Higher Education Authority and Quality and Qualifications Ireland are delighted to announce the establishment of a memorandum of understanding. Reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing the performance and quality of Irish higher education, the memorandum of understanding provides a framework for cooperation and communication between the HEA and QQI, as well as for close partnership-working with the higher education sector, to ensure the coordination and complementarity of the two organisations’ activities. It sets out a range of actions, to be implemented over the period 2015–2017, to support the 4 key commitments presented in the document—commitment to coherence of approach, to alignment of activities, to Ireland in an international context, and to partnerships for enhancement.

OPCABAIA s'engage dans le contrôle de la qualité des prestations délivrées par les organismes de formation qui sollicitent ses financements, au travers d'une Charte.
Cette démarche devance et s’inscrit dans les objectifs et les critères définis par le décret d’application à paraître sur la qualité des actions de la formation professionnelle continue.
Le projet de décret relatif à la qualité des actions de formation professionnelle continue est en cours d'examen. Il fixera les modalités selon lesquelles les financeurs de la formation (Opca, Pôle emploi, Régions, État, Agefiph) seront tenus de s’assurer de la capacité des prestataires à dispenser une formation de qualité.

Call for contributions: 10th European Quality Assurance Forum
EUA is pleased to announce that the 10th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) will take place in London from 19 to 21 November 2015, hosted by the Quality Assurance Agency and UCL Institute of Education. Through a mix of plenary and parallel sessions, the 2015 EQAF, entitled “Taking stock and looking forward”, will combine presentations of current developments in quality assurance with discussions on research, policy and practice that will take place in paper sessions and workshops. This year, the Forum will examine QA in the EHEA from a variety of perspectives and explore the ways in which concrete practices in institutions and agencies reflect European level policies.
The Forum organisers, ENQA, ESU, EUA and EURASHE, have opened a call for contributions from QA practitioners in higher education institutions and quality assurance agencies, students, and researchers in the field. Two types of contributions are sought: papers and workshops.
