The impact of the Federal Budget’s 20% per student funding cut leaves universities with a massive funding black hole amounting to more than $1.5 billion a year from 2019 onwards, argues the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) in their latest budget analysis briefing paper.
Universities will have to increase their fees by about 30% on average just to compensate for CSP funding cuts. To reduce costs, the NTEU is fearful that universities will further increase their reliance upon casual staff to teach undergraduate students and reduce spending on research and community service obligations. Erasmus mobility: top 10 of French universities
Since 2008, the Europe-Education-Formation France Agency (2e2f) has been publishing the list of the most active universities under the Erasmus Mobility action. The last ranking concerns the year 2011-2012 and is based on the proportion of outgoing Erasmus students relative to the total university student population.
Just as last year, the University of Savoy, with 2.70% of its students on Erasmus mobility, remains in the 1st place. It is followed by the Stendhal University, Grenoble III with 2.13% of mobile students and the University of Le Havre in the 3rd place with this rate at 1.94%.
