German support boosts academic staff qualifications

Nearly 100 staff at the University of Dar es Salaam have benefited from a German government-supported initiative to assist staff to obtain postgraduate degrees, as the institution pushes to improve the qualifications of its academics. The 98 scholarships through DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service, have contributed significantly to the number of PhD holders among faculty at the country's oldest higher education institution since the initiative was launched in 2002. Qualifications authority bill goes to parliament Maina Waruru

Former British colonies achieve higher research output

Lancement d’un grand plan national pour booster l’entrepreneuriat étudiant : 25 projets retenus

Les étudiants qui veulent se lancer dans l’entrepreneuriat vont désormais pouvoir pleinement le faire : le ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur va lancer plusieurs projets en vue de favoriser la culture de l’entrepreneuriat étudiant.

Dans cette optique, des "PEPITE" vont être lancés, c’est-à-dire des lieux d’encadrement et de soutien aux étudiants. 25 projets viennent d’être retenus, et vont bénéficier de 4,6 millions d’euros de financement sur trois ans. Suite...
