Oui, je le dis d'emblée. Ce qui se joue dans le travail formidable en train d'être accompli dans nos établissements, et surtout par nos établissements, c'est à la fois notre capacité d'adaptation aux exigences d'une université moderne, et notre capacité d'anticipation et de préparation de l'avenir. C'est bien le cœur de notre mission.
Il n'est pas anodin que ce sujet soit abordé dans le cadre de cette agence de mutualisation des universités et des établissements d'enseignement supérieur et de recherche qu'est l'AMUE. L'activité même de l'AMUE, depuis plus de 20 ans, souligne les avantages que l'on peut retirer de la mutualisation, aussi bien dans une démarche de coopération que d'innovation. Suite...

A look at some of the biggest grants awarded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — by far the largest philanthropy in the world — shows millions of dollars being spent to foster “cooperation” between traditional public schools and charter schools in Chicago. Significant money grants were also given to institutions seeking to improve higher-education access and success for underserved students. Half a million dollars was given to help improve communications around the Common Core State Standards, but this is less support for Common Core than the foundation has given in previous year. Read more...

By Holly Hall and Nicole Lewis. Experts questioned the accuracy of a new survey showing that the median salary of American fundraisers fell 8.5 percent last year to $65,000, saying the results contradict what’s going on in the industry.
“I don’t know of any salaries that are declining,” said Lois Lindauer, a Boston recruiter who places fundraisers nationwide. “Those findings do not jibe with the reality we see.”
The survey by the Association of Fundraising Professionals was released May 14. More...
