  •     Participants at a recent education technology conference heard that the next phase of development for online learning may well include full undergraduate degrees offered by leading institutions
  •     The technology and quality assurance mechanisms for such a move are already in place
  •     There may also be some momentum in this direction arising from early examples of both post-graduate and undergraduate MOOC courses for credit, in some cases leading to complete degrees
