Corinthian to Sell 95 of Its Campuses Under Education Dept. Agreement

subscribe todayBy Goldie Blumenstyk. Corinthian Colleges Inc. will put 85 of its campuses in the United States up for sale and "teach out" the other 12 under a deal finalized with the U.S. Department of Education on Thursday night. Separately, it will sell its 10 campuses in Canada.

New website lists contract info for state government, public colleges and universities

By Martha Stoddard. A newly launched state website opens a window into Nebraska state government contracts and contracts signed by public colleges and universities. The site went live Tuesday. It allows people to search for, monitor and review contracts, which account for a major portion of state spending. Contracts can be searched by agency or higher education institution, vendor and dollar amount. Thoughts on an Unsuccessful Course

This past semester I had one of my most, let’s call it interesting, challenges of my teaching career. My first year writing course was paired with a second semester Biology course as part of a Learning Community, which is part of College of Charleston’s First Year Experience, a program like those on many other campuses designed to put a small cohort of students in a seminar format in order to provide an engaging academic experience, as well as a peer support system for outside the classroom.
