Interesting. In a world of ubiquitous surveillance, how does our understanding of ourselves change? Is it this? "Like Sartre's spy at the keyhole, himself espied, we would lose our ability to function as a subject. We could no longer choose an identity to project depending on our inclination and the situation at hand as everything having to do with our identity would have been pre-empted by the surveillance system...
