Middle East and North Africa Rankings

Over the last few years, there has been increasing interest in university rankings in Arab countries.  Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and the US News and World Report have both announced that they will produce rankings of Arab universities.
Now another ranking is in the pipeline. Times Higher Education (THE) will be holding its first Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Universities Summit in Doha, Qatar, in February next year, in partnership with Qatar University. In addition to sessions on research collaboration and university leadership there will be a discussion of proposals for a THE MENA university ranking “featuring a bespoke range of metrics for the region.”
