RIT to get state's first private college tax-free zone
By . The Rochester Institute of Technology is expected to win approval Thursday from the state to have two areas designated as tax-free zones under New York's new initiative. RIT would be the first private college in the state to have a plan approved to market parts of its campus as tax free as part of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Start-Up NY program.
