QS Regional Rankings Reveal a Few Surprises
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has just announced the latest edition of their suite of regional rankings for Asia, Latin America, the Arab region and EECA (Emerging Europe and central Asia. The data are derived from the QS world rankings but with a different methodology in each case. In all four rankings the weighting for academic reputation is 30%, compared to 40% in the world rankings, and for employer reputation 20%, compared to 10% in the world rankings. More...

Reuters 100 Innovative Universities: USA Continues to Lead
Reuters has released the latest edition of its 100 innovative global universities ranking. Top of the list is Stanford university in California followed by MIT and Harvard. Over half of the top universities were US or Canadian. Asia is fairly well represented with eight universities apiece from japan and South Korea, one from Singapore and one from Israel.
