DARIAH - Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities

DARIAH is a pan-european infrastructure for arts and humanities scholars working with computational methods. It supports digital research as well as the teaching of digital research methods.
DARIAH is a network. It connects several hundreds of scholars and dozens of research facilities in currently 17 european countries, the DARIAH member countries. In addition DARIAH has several cooperating partner institutions in countries not being a member of DARIAH, and strong ties to many research projects across Europe. People in DARIAH provide digital tools and share data as well as know-how. Its aims are the encouragement and support of the research and teaching of Jewish studies at university level in Europe, and other places of higher education and learning.
The EAJS was founded as a voluntary academic association in 1981. Among its activities are the organization of congresses and colloquia, the publication of the bi-annual European Journal of Jewish Studies (EJJS), and the hosting of the Online Directory of Jewish Studies in Europe on this website . ESEH aims to:

  • encourage the study of European environmental history in a comparative perspective;
  • foster communication among environmental historians across Europe, and with colleagues elsewhere;
  • promote the further institutional development of environmental history within secondary and tertiary education;
  • promote the research and use of environmental history in academic programmes;
  • strengthen the crucial link between environmental history, all policy-making, and the general public.
