An integral part of the Initiative activities will be the first European Learning & Teaching Forum scheduled for 28 and 29 September 2017 in Paris. The event, organised in collaboration with the Conférence des présidents d’université (CPU), will facilitate the exchange of experiences on learning and teaching in higher education. In order to prepare and complement the Forum, EUA will organise thematic peer groups made up of its members that will discuss critical issues in learning and teaching. The 3rd UNI-SET Energy Clustering Event, “Universities in the Energy Transition: Focus on Smart Energy Systems and Communities,” took place from 21 to 23 November 2016 at the University Politehnica of Bucharest in Romania.
One hundred and twenty participants from 21 countries discussed the role of university, innovation and education in topics such as smart energy systems, energy consumers and cities and communities in the transition towards a sustainable energy system. More...

The negotiations intensified this autumn after the European Commission released a new draft that included, notably, an increase in funding for Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+.
