HEFCE to allocate £3.7 billion to 344 universities and colleges for 2016-17
The funding for the 2016-17 academic year will be £3,674 million, allocated for the following main areas of activity:
- £1,578 million for recurrent research
- £1,360 million for recurrent teaching
- £160 million for knowledge exchange
- £98 million for national facilities and initiatives (Note 2)

ESPE : avoir réussi à les mettre en place en deux ans relève de l’exploit !
Par Fériel Boudjelal. Jacques Ginestié, directeur de l’ESPE d’Aix-Marseille, nous livre son point de vue sur la formation des enseignants, en particulier des PLP. Il revient aussi sur les difficultés rencontrées dans l’exercice de leur métier.
L’ESPE, Ecole supérieure du professorat et de l’éducation, d’Aix-Marseille, a ouvert ses portes le 2 septembre 2013. Elle forme les futurs enseignants mais aussi les étudiants se destinant à d’autres métiers de l’éducation et ceux souhaitant développer des compétences dans le domaine de l’enseignement, de l’éducation et de la formation. L’offre de formation du master MEEF est organisée autour de quatre mentions : premier degré, second degré, encadrement éducatif et pratiques et ingénierie de la formation. Nous préparons notamment à toutes les formations technologiques et professionnelles dans les domaines des sciences et technologies industrielles, du génie civil et des enseignements généraux.
A la rentrée 2013, nous avions près de 2000 étudiants inscrits alors que cette année, en septembre 2015, nous en avons accueilli 3000. Voir l'article...
