L'Institut Français de l'Education (Ifé) publie un dossier d’actualité construit autour de la question : comment utiliser les acquis de la science pour mieux enseigner ? Le document donne ainsi des repères pour une approche scientifique de l’éducation dans le contexte de la recherche universitaire. Il montre également comment peuvent être articulés les rapports entre recherche, pratiques et politiques éducatives, et l’engagement concret des acteurs qui relèvent de ces différents contextes.

Logement étudiant > Les avancées

Cécile Duflot, ministre de l’Égalité des territoires et du Logement, et Geneviève Fioraso ont inauguré le 6 février dernier une nouvelle résidence de logements étudiants à Fontenay-aux-Roses. A cette occasion, elles ont confirmé l’engagement de l’Etat pour la création de 40 000 logements étudiants supplémentaires en cinq ans. Pour cela, plusieurs moyens seront mis en œuvre : la relance des opérations Campus, le développement de l’offre de logement (loi du 18 janvier 2013 de mobilisation du foncier public en faveur du logement social) ou bien encore l’augmentation de 20 millions d’euros des budgets 2013 et 2014 du CNOUS fléchés sur le logement étudiant.

Un étudiant, combien ça coûte ?
Pour une durée moyenne de 4 ans par étudiant dans l’enseignement supérieur, la France dépense 60 570 $PPA, soit légèrement plus que la moyenne de l’OCDE. C’est ce qu’indique la note d’information du Ministère de l'éducation nationale publiée en janvier 2014. On apprend également que dans les pays anglo-saxons et asiatiques, entre 64 et 75 % du financement de l'enseignement supérieur est d’origine privée alors qu’en France, l’État en est la principale source.

More than 300 undergraduate students from 24 universities across Australia will soon set off to study abroad in the Indo-Pacific region under the Australian government’s A$100 million ($90 million) New Colombo Plan.
