Open access for multi-disciplinary journals

A Polish entrepreneur and data scientist, Marcin Wojnarski, has launched what he says is the first multi-disciplinary aggregator of open access journals and papers. Wojnarski says that his firm, Paperity, will connect authors with readers, boost dissemination of new discoveries and consolidate academia around open literature.
The company holds more than 160,000 articles from 2,000 scholarly journals and the number is growing. Wojnarski says the goal of his team is to cover 100% of open access literature in three years. Read more...

BCcampus has taken an ‘off-the-shelf’ open source authoring software ‘shell’ called Pressbooks, which in itself is based on WordPress. BCcampus has made some further adaptations to Pressbooks for the open textbooks that BCcampus is helping to develop. I have used the BCcampus version of Pressbooks to create my own textbook.
