Le second événement était la réunion des ministres de l’éducation du groupe des pays du G7 organisée en amont de la réunion des chefs d’Etat et de gouvernement que la France organise au mois d’août prochain. Deux thèmes ont été particulièrement mis en avant : la scolarisation précoce, d’une part, comme vecteur de lutte contre les inégalités à l’école dès le plus jeune âge, défi majeur auquel l’ensemble des États est confronté ; la qualité de la formation des enseignants, d’autre part, qui constitue une condition essentielle de l’élévation du niveau scolaire et de la lutte contre les inégalités.
