Iran Science Rankings

The criteria include research output, research quality, number of faculty and postgraduate students, international collaboration, student loans and links with industry. The ranking is interesting as it is likely that the lifting of international Sanctions will lead to more international collaboration and more publication of scientific papers. The École Polytechnique in Paris has signed agreements with the University of Tehran, the University of Isfahan and Sharif University of Technology. Agreements have also been or will be signed with institutions in Switzerland, Sweden and Cyprus. More...

Indian Perceptions of International Higher Education

The report found that Indian students consider quality of education as the most significant feature of an internationally recognized university followed by employment prospects and worldwide connections. Why and How Rankings Change?

The authors of a resent article "How to survive changes in ranking methodology" published by the University World News have taken a closer look at the changes that have been or are being introduced into some of the most popular academic rankings and the pitfalls that the changes may cause. Explaining why changes in methodology are both necessary and inevitable, Richard Holmes and Waldemar Siwinski warn against possible problems that changes may bring, especially for universities. They appeal to ranking organizations to follow good practice when introducing changes in methodology in order to be fair to universities and at the same maintain rankings stability and credibility. “IREG Approved” for Russian University Ranking

http://www.ireg-observatory.org/templates/sub_business2/images/ireg_top2013.pngThe Executive Committee of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence at its meeting in Brussels on February 20, 2016, has reviewed documents related to evaluation of the “Russian University Ranking” produced by the Rating Agency “Expert RA”, Moscow, Russia. The submission has been made within the IREG Ranking Audit initiative.
The Executive Committee of IREG Observatory decided to grant Rating Agency “Expert RA” the rights to use the “IREG Approved” label in relation to the “Russian University Ranking” for the period ending on December 31, 2019
