Embedding research-based education at the University College London
University College London (UCL) is now two years into its 20-year strategy, UCL 2034, which includes the ambition that all taught students should have a research-based education. There are three key strands to help us deliver this strategy. The first is the Connected Curriculum which provides a framework for a rich conversation with departments to review and reshape their curricula. This is not only to connect students with research but also to connect them with each other, across disciplines and with the workplace. There is a particular emphasis on producing assessed work which is relevant to an external audience. The second strand involves the student themselves and their engagement with their studies.
