Social Media Is Narrowing Our Perspectives

On Tuesday, Pew Research Center released a report that stated, “clear majorities of Twitter (63%) and Facebook users (63%) now say each platform serves as a source for news about events and issues outside the realm of friends and family.” This means that with the ability to like and follow based on personal interests and passions, we are narrowing our sources of news and allowing ourselves to align even more closely with those who think like we do.
