Top firms donate 'too little' to higher education – UNESCO

By Wachira Kigotho. The Fortune Global 500 companies spend less than 5% of their combined budget for corporate social responsibility activities on higher education, according to a study by the Varkey Foundation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO.
The report, Business Backs Education, which is the world’s first comprehensive study into global corporate expenditure on education, found less than half of the Fortune Global 500 spend on higher education. Read more...
