Aucune université française classée dans les cent premières de l'Alternative Ranking (Excluding Award Factor)

Academic Ranking of World UniversitiesThe Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) is the first global ranking of universities and has been distinguished from other global rankings for its consistent and rigorous methodology. Only substantial progress in academic excellence can help universities to climb up on the list. ARWU uses six objective indicators, among them the number of alumni winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals and the number of staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals are seen as the most difficult one, even the best universities in the world cannot be sure whether next year’s winners will be their alumni or staff. It is because of this reason, ARWU takes a century’s performance into account during the calculation of these two indicators in order to avoid the fluctuations in a short time window.
