Disabled students could be 'shut out' by government cuts

By Harriet Swain. Planned cuts to the Disabled Students Allowance could have a disastrous effect on individuals, say campaigners, and prevent some from going to university. It was a short written statement from the universities minister, David Willetts, to parliament just before the Easter break and, for those affected, it was a shock.
