The discrepancy in Internet usage numbers between younger and older generations slightly decreased in the past years, but it stills a topic of concern since the socio-economic potentials of Internet usage for the older generations are not being explored.
Internet usage can contribute to a higher quality of life; social interaction on the Internet reduces loneliness and depression. eSkills and eCompetences development amongst third agers is still challenging.
