FRINDOC Induction Working Group focuses on internationalisation for doctoral education
From 13 to 14 February 2014, an Induction Working Group took place at the University of Bergen, Norway, for the pilot group selected to participate in the FRINDOC (Framework for the Internationalisation of Doctoral Education) project. The pilot group consists of experts in doctoral education and internationalisation from 28 universities across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The project Steering Committee, consisting of representatives from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, the University of Hong Kong, Imperial College London, University of Camerino, University of Bergen, Dublin Institute of Technology and EUA, have been developing an online tool since the launch of the project in November 2012. The Induction Working Group served as an occasion to introduce the FRINDOC project to the pilot group, to share perspectives on the key issues concerning doctoral education and internationalisation in different regions, and to present the group with the preliminary version of the tool.
