An administrative-law judge in Florida has rejected a faculty union’s challenge to new guidelines from the state Board of Education on the awarding of tenure-like continuing contracts at state colleges. The guidelines include a requirement that institutions in the state-college system consider measures of student success in awarding the contracts to faculty members.
