Collaboration in the Humanities

If you had told me three years ago that I would be a proponent of collaboration in the humanities, I would have laughed at you. Three years ago, I was concluding an MA in Higher Education. With the exception of my thesis, I submitted mostly collaboratively authored papers and almost always worked in assigned groups during the two-year MA. Yet, I wasn’t sold on collaborative scholarship. I said “Thanks, but no thanks,” and took my chances in an English PhD program.
