What ‘education influentials’ think will — and won’t — happen
By Valerie Strauss. A new report about what people called “education influentials” think will happen in the world of education says:* That 87 percent of insiders think that the No Child Left Behind law won’t be reauthorized until at least 2015.
* The recent resolution against the Common Core State Standards by the Republican National Committee is “somewhat or very significant” — 64 percent
* States will delay the high stakes associated with new standardized testing linked to the Common Core standards, as proposed recently by American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten — 63 percent. Read more...
