It also includes useful resources and information about the three higher education systems concerned under ATHENA. The website is available here: www.athena-tempus.eu.
On 19 March, EUA also met with the Moldovan partners of the ATHENA project for an evaluation of the next steps needed in governance and funding reforms of the Moldovan higher education system. The partners notably reviewed the findings of the data collection process they all contributed to. This preparatory visit marks one of the first milestones of the project. On 29 May, EUA and the Moldovan project partners will organise the first ATHENA workshop, an event designed to foster a national dialogue on the topic of university governance and funding reforms in the country. The ATHENA project is led by a consortium of 22 partners, from Moldova, Ukraine and Armenia, as well as universities from Portugal, Finland and the Netherlands. The participating Moldovan institutions are the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Cahul State University, the Free International University of Moldova as well as the National Council of Rectors and the Ministry of Education of Moldova. The ATHENA project is co-funded by the European Commission under the Tempus programme.
