36th EUCEN conference, Tallin, 06-08 November 2008

EUCEN was founded in 1991 and is now the largest European multidisciplinary Association in University Lifelong Learning. It is registered in Belgium as an international non-governmental non-profit making organisation and has 212 members from 42 countries.
Twice a year (spring and autumn) EUCEN organises a conference in partnership with one of its member universities on a topical theme. Representatives from universities, government and the business world come together to debate current issues, to exchange best practice and innovation, and to network. Each conference is held in a different country so that members have an opportunity to learn about the local, regional and national conditions and the specialised expertise of the host university. For the hosts it is an opportunity to benefit from the accumulated collective experience of EUCEN members and to use their presence as a catalyst for further development locally.
