- En 1987, le CES adopte l'avis «Grande pauvreté et précarité économique et sociale» »porté par Joseph Wresinski, membre du CES, dont les préconisations ont donné lieu à la création du revenu minimum d’insertion (RMI) par la loi n°88-1088 du 1 décembre 1988.
- En janvier 2017, le CESE accueille l'exposition photographique "30 ans de lutte contre la pauvreté et maintenant ?" réalisée avec ATD Quart Monde, association créée par Joseph Wresinski.
- En février 2017, le CESE adopte une nouvelle résolution lors d'une séance plénière exceptionnelle portant sur la lutte contre la pauvreté, à l’occasion du 30ème anniversaire de l’avis de Joseph Wresinski. Redécouvrez la VOD de la séance.
