L’importance toujours prépondérante des troubles musculo-squelettiques

En 2012, 56 000 maladies professionnelles ont été reconnues par les régimes général et agricole de la sécurité sociale. 4 maladies sur 5 sont des troubles musculo-squelettiques (TMS).
Les TMS sont particulièrement fréquents dans les activités de l’industrie de la viande, l’habillement, les équipements du foyer, la blanchisserie et, dans une moindre mesure, le secteur de la construction. Les ouvriers et les femmes, tout particulièrement les ouvrières, sont les plus exposés.
Les maladies provoquées par l’amiante représentent 8 % des maladies professionnelles reconnues,et constituent la grande majorité des cancers professionnels reconnus. Elles touchent presque exclusivement des hommes.
Depuis 2005, les maladies professionnelles reconnues ont augmenté de 4 % par an, portées par l’augmentation de la reconnaissance des TMS (7 % par an). Les cancers professionnels reconnus sont également en hausse entre 2005 et 2012 (4 % par an).
