International Higher Education in Facts and Figures- 2015

The IU published the International Higher Education in Facts and Figures guide today examining the latest trends and data on international higher education.
Key highlights include:
• Data on international student trends: the UK is the second most popular destination in the world for international students.
• Insight about what international students want: in 2014 'Quality of education' was the top reason why international students chose to come and study in the UK.  
• The latest figures on TNE and Outward mobility: UK TNE student numbers have grown by 65% since 2008; the vast majority are studying for their first degree.
• Statistics on the impact of international research and collaboration: the UK's top collaborative partner country is the US and 13 out of the UK's top 20 collaboration partners are EU member states.

Ciencia Sem Fronteiras (SwB UK) update

The Science without Borders programme in the UK will now be known as Ciência sem Fronteiras - Reino Unido (CsF), Brazilian Scientific Mobility Programme. This change will take place with immediate effect and we will be contacting our operational contacts at all participating UK universities to ask them to update their information and materials to reflect this.  The name change is due to the fact that this phrase has been registered and the copyright belongs to another organisation. All countries in North America and Europe using this for the programme have been asked to use an alternative title. More...
