L'université Aix-Marseille fait une percée au classement de Shanghai

133 ème université mondiale en 2015, elle progresse de 21 places cette année.
Le président d'Aix-Marseille Université, Yvon Berland, juge ce progrès "remarquable".

China, Singapore break into top 100 in Shanghai ranking

Classement de Shanghai 2016 : la France 6e, le nombre d'établissements français classés reste stable

Transparent Ranking from Cybermetrics Lab

The Cybermetrics Lab is a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain. It has produced the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities since 2004 and has announced the July edition of its ranking of universities by Google Scholar Citations. More...

100 Innovative Universities

The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) have published a report listing 100 universities (including university systems) that were granted US utility patents in 2015. The information in the report, the fourth since 2014, was provided by the US Patent and Trademark Office. More...

Manipulated Journal Rankings?

While any allegations about cheating or other academic chicanery are cause for concern, journal rankings to date continue to offer one rough but useful source of information to a wide variety of audiences.
Journal rankings help authors to answer the omnipresent question “Where to publish?” Tenure review committees also use rankings as evidence for visibility, recognition and even quality in the academic review process, especially for junior candidates. Read more...
