CS Underground
Good example of group blogging by students at the University of New Brunswick. Something like this should be available for every student group, even if they're not computer science students. More...

TrackBack: Where Blogs Learn Their Places

TrackBack: Where Blogs Learn Their Places
Via elearnspace. This article is a concise and accurate introduction to the concept of the 'trackback' in blogging. As the author (who has obviously done his homework) explains, "A TrackBack ping is blogspeak for a short message sent from one Web server to another." It lets one blog know that another blog is linking to it. More...

Blogging and RSS — The "What's It?" and "How To" of Powerful New Web Tools for Educators

Blogging and RSS — The "What's It?" and "How To" of Powerful New Web Tools for Educators
This item is a few weeks old, but it's a good article, though very introductory, which is why I didn't run it before now. More...

WordPress
I have been agitating, in an informal way (I should cobble my scattered comments into an article), on Orkut and RSS-Dev (and here, a bit) about the idea of a distributed, semantically oriented XML based social network. The bits and pieces are coming together, slowly. More...

reBlogging: Push-button Republishing

reBlogging: Push-button Republishing
Re-blogging is like reusing learning objects, except that it exists. Note the low-tech, distributed, grassroots (not emergent, that comes later) approach. Bonus post: research projects from Seb. Ah, but maybe he should have used Soople. More...

Chalkface Blog

Chalkface Blog
I picked up this link from a Flickr contact. No RSS (sadly). The blog has some good content, some of it not covered elsewhere, and seems to address itself most directly to the interests of the U.K. Curriculum Online Project and the National Grid for Learning, two education resource repositories that (IMHO) have just got to provide RSS or similar XML feeds linking to their aggregated content (write them and tell them so!). Content Delivery in the 'Blogosphere'

Content Delivery in the 'Blogosphere'
George Siemens comments of this item, "Short exploration of blogging as a content delivery tool in education: Content Delivery in the 'Blogosphere'. Personally, I think the article misses the point...blogging is less about content delivery, and more about expression, self-exploration (and in some cases, dialogue)." I agree with this assessment. Blogging isn't about content delivery, it's also about interaction and engagement. More...

Digital Tweed

Digital Tweed
Syllabus advertised in today's newsletter a new blog by someone called Casey Green ("Sorry, you must be a registered user to view profiles" and that's all I know). It might have been a good idea to see if the blog was updated before advertising - the last entry in from December 4. More...

T and D Blog

T and D Blog
George Siemens points to this new blog from Training & Development magazine. As he and others point out, the blog really needs an RSS feed, which though Blogger doesn't support it, could easily be provided using RSSify. More...
