The comparative overview examines the policy changes that have taken place over the last year regarding the recommended instruction time and its distribution across subjects. It also looks into the minimum instruction time allocated to several subjects which are currently of particular interest at European level: reading, writing and literature, maths, natural sciences, the teaching of other languages, and physical education and health. The report Modernisation of Higher Education in Europe: Academic Staff - 2017 explores the current realities for academic staff within the changing higher education landscape in Europe. It focuses on the qualification requirements for academic staff, the recruitment process, employment and working conditions in academia, the impact of external quality assurance, and top level strategies for internationalisation. It also includes national diagrams showing key characteristics of academic staff categories.
The report is based mainly on qualitative data gathered by the Eurydice Network, covering higher education systems in 35 countries. The data collection focused on academic higher education staff who are primarily responsible for teaching and/or research. Le numérique introduit partout des échanges et des modes de fonctionnement collaboratifs : l'innovation ouverte s'impose de plus en plus comme le modèle général de l'innovation.
Ce doit donc être la priorité absolue des dispositifs d'aide publics ou privés que de soutenir l'innovation ouverte dans les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME), pour favoriser leurs croissance et leur transformation en entreprises de taille intermédiaires (ETI) créatrices d'emplois nouveaux.

The Economic and Fiscal Consequences of Immigration finds that the long-term impact of immigration on the wages and employment of native-born workers overall is very small, and that any negative impacts are most likely to be found for prior immigrants or native-born high school dropouts.
