Supreme Court Declines to Hear Google Books Case

HomeThe U.S. Supreme Court on Monday announced it will not hear Authors Guild v. Google, a case on whether Google’s book digitization project violates authors’ rights. The court’s decision leaves in place a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which ruled in favor of Google. Dispute Over Phallic Drawing on Beach Ball

ABA Canceled Book for Fear of China

HomeThe American Bar Association rescinded an offer it made to publish a book on human rights lawyers in China out of fear of upsetting the Chinese government, according to a leaked email from an ABA employee obtained by Foreign Policy.
