The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday announced it will not hear Authors Guild v. Google, a case on whether Google’s book digitization project violates authors’ rights. The court’s decision leaves in place a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which ruled in favor of Google. The American Bar Association rescinded an offer it made to publish a book on human rights lawyers in China out of fear of upsetting the Chinese government, according to a leaked email from an ABA employee obtained by Foreign Policy.
