IceWM

IceWM
Today's OLDaily is the first one produced on a Linux desktop. This link points to my current desktop environment, IceWM, a nice and simple desktop that feels a lot like Windows, but without so many of the annoyances. Most people use Gnome or KDE, but this one fits my needs. More...

The Standard Bearers Close Ranks

The Standard Bearers Close Ranks
In an article that reads like a State of the Union address, the author described the efforts of five major bodies - IMS, ADL, SIF, OKI and IEEE-LTSC - as representing "the collaboration occurring across the entire eLearning spectrum." I think that's a bit overstated. More...

New Jersey Institute of Technology Prohibits File Sharing on Its Campus

New Jersey Institute of Technology Prohibits File Sharing on Its Campus

The article describes a number of online payment options offered by colleges and universities in the United States (of course, institutions in many other countries are also dabbling in this area). Rich Site Summary (RSS) Links and Information

I'm still on the road in Ottawa, still struggling with slow dial-up lines, and so way behind in my links. So of course it is this week - perhaps prompted by my railing at IMS last week - that one of my long-time passions is coming to fruition. More...
