NTEU and AIT settle underpayment case
National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) recently undertook a time and wages inspection at private higher education provider, Academy of Information Technology (AIT). This inspection found that the casual academic teaching staff had been engaged on flat hourly rates of pay which did not correspond with correct rates set out in the Educational Services (Post-Secondary) Award 2010.AIT has worked quickly and constructively with NTEU to resolve the underpayment issue for its current and past casual academic teaching staff.
