Sécurité sociale des étudiants : une simplification majeure, un gain de pouvoir d'achat et une qualité de service améliorée

ESR enseignementsup-recherche gouv frCette réforme correspond à une simplification majeure pour l'étudiant. Elle supprime le processus d'affiliation et de ré-affiliation annuelle à une mutuelle d'étudiants pour la gestion des droits de base, source de complexité, d'incompréhensions et de délais injustifiés (en particulier concernant l'attribution d'une Carte Vitale). La seule démarche à opérer est la mise à jour de la carte Vitale.
Elle se traduit par une baisse du coût de la rentrée pour l'étudiant concernant sa couverture santé, avec la suppression, dès la rentrée étudiante 2018, de la cotisation annuelle antérieurement payée (montant de 217€ en 2017)
Cette réforme améliore aussi la qualité du service rendu aux étudiants en les faisant bénéficier des délais de remboursement, de prise en charge et des services des CPAM  (compte Ameli, services en ligne, programmes d'accompagnement...), alors que de nombreux rapports avaient identifié les insuffisances de qualité de service de certaines mutuelles.
