University essentially can be viewed as no more than a platform or a vehicle to organise and deliver “education” as a public good, just like a hospital delivers health care services. Taken this way, there are social institutions creatively designed for the advancement of the community as the overarching worldview. In other words, they are social innovations intended to cope with the changing environment as well as the challenges it poses. For this reason, they are deeply committed to the well-being of members of the community and base the values and norms that they acculturated to enable quality of life to emerge from them in meeting the need of the generations to come. In that sense, they are “whole”, “universal” and “forward-looking” in conjecturing up the idea of learning with the framework of education. The aspiration is to minimally meet the Delors’ four pillars of learning, namely: learning to know, learning to do, learning to be and learning to live together. Download IAU Horizons, 21, 1.

Combien d’étudiants en 2023 ?
Le MENESR publie une note d’information présentant les projections des effectifs dans l'enseignement pour 2023. Si les tendances en termes d'orientation, de poursuite d'études et de démographie se prolongeaient, les effectifs étudiants augmenteraient de 9% entre 2013 et 2023.

Dans une note intitulée Projections des effectifs dans l’enseignement supérieur pour les rentrées de 2014 à 2023, la Direction de l'évaluation, de la prospective et de la performance du ministère de l'Education nationale, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche évalue la croissance des effectifs étudiants à 9% entre 2013 et 2023. France Stratégie et la DARES ont co-réalisé un rapport sur les métiers en 2022. Remis au Ministre du Travail, de l'Emploi, de la Formation professionnelle et du Dialogue social le 28 avril 2015, il met en perspective les grandes évolutions des ressources en main-d’œuvre et de l’emploi par métier et domaine professionnel à l’horizon 2022. Les prévisions du ministère de l'Education nationale pour 2023
Par Axiane Barclay. Dans une note d'information publiée le 10 avril 2015, le ministère de l'Education Nationale, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche fait plusieurs prévisions d'ici 2023. D'après ses calculs, à cette date, environ 2,6 millions de bacheliers seront inscrits dans l'enseignement supérieur.
2 649 600, c'est le nombre d'étudiants qui seront inscrits dans l'enseignement supérieur français en 2023, d'après les prévisions du ministère de l'Education nationale, de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche. Le scénario prévoit également 219 700 bacheliers supplémentaires inscrits dans les études supérieures, une augmentation de 9 % par rapport à 2013. Suite...
