Review and Revive VET Practices

The Revive VET project aims to review and revive VET practices, applying innovative ICT integration methodologies and building online communities of VET professionals who collaborate to improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of VET services. Revive VET aims to create online community of VET experts who will establish common agreement upon the quality criteria of ICT application in the areas of continuing professional development (including teacher training), and creativity, business and citizen skills fostering on four levels – (1) institutional, (2) curriculum, (3) continuous professional skill development level, and (4) overall quality assurance process. Intelligent Tutoring for Life Long Learning

The I-TUTOR (Intelligent Tutoring for Lifelong Learning) project started in January 2012 with the aim of developing a multi-agent based intelligent system to support online teachers, trainers, and tutors. The Intelligent Tutoring for Life Long Learning (I-TUTOR) project aims at developing an intelligent tutoring system, to be applied in open source learning environments, able to monitor, track, analyze and give formative assessement and feedback loop to students within the learning environment, and give inputs to tutors and teachers involved in distance learning to better their role during the process of learning. Surge of new MOOCs worldwide in January 2014

Open Education Europa recently updated the European MOOCs Scoreboard for January 2014, documenting a 19% global growth in the total number of MOOCs.
A new semester is starting for most universities in Europe, and even though the internet is less bound by the norms of space and time, it seems that January is a popular time for online courses to start as well. The global count of MOOCs grew by 19% this month, compared to 3% in December. More...
