National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE)
A partnership between the University of the West of England and the University of Bristol, the NCCPE was established in 2008 as part of the Beacons for Public Engagement Initiative. The NCCPE supports higher education institutions to engage with the public. Its three main aims are to inspire a shift in culture, to increase capacity for public engagement and to build effective partnerships to encourage partners to embed public engagement in their work. They are inviting every university and research institute in the UK to sign up to its Manifesto for Public Engagement. To find out more about the Manifesto and the NCCPE, and to access its resources to support institutional change, please visit its website. The link address is: http://www.publicengagement.ac.uk
