Le e-learning ou formation en ligne

Vous en avez peut être entendu parler ou vous a-t-on proposé une formation selon cette modalité. Que recouvre cette façon de se former.

Définition
La définition de l'e-learning proposée par la Commission européenne est la suivante : "
utilisation des nouvelles technologies multimédias et de l’Internet pour améliorer la qualité de l’apprentissage en facilitant l’accès à des ressources et des services, ainsi que les échanges et la collaboration à distance".
On voit bien que la question du support est essentielle dans la formation en ligne : en effet il s’agit d’une méthode d’apprentissage qui repose sur la mise à disposition de contenus pédagogiques via un support électronique (Cédérom, Internet, intranet, extranet, télévision interactive etc…). 

Deux caractéristiques :

  •  Le e-learning c’est la possibilité de suivre un programme de formation à distance, en auto-formation ou accompagné, de manière individuelle ou collective,
  •  Le e-learning s’appuie sur internet et les outils multimédias pour offrir des modules de formation courts, progressifs ; adaptés aux besoins et niveaux des personnes en formation.

Les modalités de formation
La FOAD, c’est une formation qui mixe plusieurs modalités de formation, en utilisant les TIC (Technologie de l’information et de la communication).

  • L’autoformation (dit aussi e-learning) : travail autonome sur la plateforme d’enseignement,
  • Le tutorat : accompagnement méthodologique, pédagogique et technique,
  • La classe virtuelle : enseignement par la visioconférence,
  • Le regroupement : enseignement collectif en présentiel, qui permet aux stagiaires de se rencontrer. Voir l'article...
