Herders vs Farmers: Resolving deadly conflict in the Sahel and West Africa

In the Sahel region of West Africa, herdsmen traditionally head south across the semi-arid strip below the Sahara desert and above the Sudanian Savanna, towards the coasts during the long dry season to graze their animals.
