The Forum, which took place on 28-29 September 2017 in Paris, France, was attended by more than 280 participants from 34 countries who welcomed the opportunity to discuss institutional responses to new modes of learning, changing student bodies, the need to equip students with transversal skills, rewards and recognition schemes for teaching, measures to shift mindsets so that research and teaching are valued equally. A set of 10 European Principles for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching, based on the preliminary outcomes of the EFFECT project, was also introduced so to start discussions on a common understanding of Europe’s education mission.
