By Paul Clifton. When I studied at Murdoch in the early 1990s, people told me stories of the University's early days, where equal representatives of staff, administration and students would meet as part of a thing called the 'University Assembly'.
This body was charged with considering the big picture issues facing the university, permeated by a spirit of respect between the people running the campus and those working and studying there. I'm told those early meetings took place in Bush Court, perhaps where you're standing right now. More...
