ESPE : avoir réussi à les mettre en place en deux ans relève de l’exploit !

Par Fériel Boudjelal. Jacques Ginestié, directeur de l’ESPE d’Aix-Marseille, nous livre son point de vue sur la formation des enseignants, en particulier des PLP. Il revient aussi sur les difficultés rencontrées dans l’exercice de leur métier.

Vous êtes directeur de l’ESPE d’Aix-Marseille. Pouvez-vous nous présenter votre structure et ses principaux objectifs ?

L’ESPE, Ecole supérieure du professorat et de l’éducation, d’Aix-Marseille, a ouvert ses portes le 2 septembre 2013. Elle forme les futurs enseignants mais aussi les étudiants se destinant à d’autres métiers de l’éducation et ceux souhaitant développer des compétences dans le domaine de l’enseignement, de l’éducation et de la formation. L’offre de formation du master MEEF est organisée autour de quatre mentions : premier degré, second degré, encadrement éducatif et pratiques et ingénierie de la formation. Nous préparons notamment à toutes les formations technologiques et professionnelles dans les domaines des sciences et technologies industrielles, du génie civil et des enseignements généraux.
A la rentrée 2013, nous avions près de 2000 étudiants inscrits alors que cette année, en septembre 2015, nous en avons accueilli 3000. Voir l'article...

European Women Rectors Association inauguration, 20 June, Brussels (Belgium)

The European Women Rectors Association (EWORA) will hold its inaugural ceremony at the University Foundation in Brussels on 20 June 2016.
The meeting will bring together EU representatives, female university leaders, representatives of major higher education networks and gender experts in order to assess the opportunities for and the challenges to empowering women to fully participate in academic leadership positions. More UNI-SET Energy Clustering Events scheduled this autumn

EUA, together with KU Leuven, is organising the 2nd and 3rd UNI-SET Energy Clustering Events (ECE), which will take place in the autumn. The Politecnico di Torino in Italy will host the 2nd ECE from 26 to 28 September and the University Politehnica of Bucharest in Romania will host the 3rd ECE from 21 to 23 November. More...

More women become university leaders - equality still far away

Of the rectors in EUA’s database, 15% are currently women, compared to 11% in 2014 and 6% in 2008. The trend is clear and positive for gender equality. However, the differences between individual countries remain large, with about one third of rectors in Sweden, Norway and Finland being women, while a number of countries have less than 10%.
Female full professors remain a minority. According to the latest European Commission "She Figures” data on women in research, only one in five full professors is a woman. More...
