Engaging Ageing - Universities as engines to support active and healthy ageing

The objective of the conference is to promote and develop the concept of the Age Friendly University -  how universities can act as engines to drive active and healthy ageing: Over the two days this will be debated and discussed under the following themes:

Research and innovation;
Education and outreach;
Learner and community involvement;
Work and Enterprise.
Health
Technology

In excess of 60 submissions  will be presented during the conference in the form of presentations, workshop and posters.

National Meeting of RUIAP - Rete Universitaria Italiana per l’Apprendimento Permanente

The Secretariat of RUIAP - Rete Universitaria Italiana per l’Apprendimento Permanente/Italian University Network for Lifelong Learning announces that its next national meeting will take place on 29 October 2015. The meeting will be hosted by the University Roma Tre and will address the theme of "University and innovation: Lifelong Learning and Third Mission", with a particular focus on lifelong learning and social engagement.
The IX General Assembly of RUIAP will take place on the following day, 30 October 2015.

RAMSEs - Refining Apprenticeship in Medium and Small Enterprises

The level of implementation of apprenticeships at higher level across Europe today is very uneven. SMEs could play a stronger role in the provision of apprenticeships but face challenges in their capacity to develop the skills and resources needed. Universities have lots of experience delivering professional training in many fields and are in a strong position to support the SMEs and apprentices.
